Ok, so I got a large AVI file (XVID format) and for some reason at certain points whatever is playing it just crashes for no readily apparent reason. I've updated my codecs for everything... still got no idea. It happens in any player I happen to be using. Very weird.

    Any ideaS?

XP Pro, Latest codecs, players updated, file is quite large (over 1 GB) and was downloaded from some webspace in parts. I know its probably corrupted, but what can I do to fix it?

    it happens at 19:23, 40:30, 44:01... etc.

I downloaded it with a download program, but i forget what now. It was from my friends webspace, he wanted me to edit the file.
