Avira Antivir popups are annoying

I use Avira AntiVir as my virus scanner. I like it a lot. However, I don't like how it pops up ads every once in a while. I've tried deleting avnotify.exe and it just replaces itself the next time. Does anybody know of a process blocker sort of thing that I can use to stop avnotify.exe from running?

I can't get it to work using the security way becuase I don't have a security tab in my properties.

Also, I don't want to download another thing to stop it from running, so it's ok now. I have just tried to create a blank file called avnotify.exe and trying to see if that works.
