Avira Keeps Trying To Change My Homepage...

...to a search engine, actual engine I don't know, but the page says Avira. I've got the Windows security settings cranked all the way up, so I can always stop it, but I'd prefer to not have to deal with this. Any suggestions?

Also, one of the tabs in my set of homepages is for an alternate web-based email service I use, MyWay, and that periodically actually changes its own tab from the MyWay login to a search engine, actual engine unknown, but the page says MyWay, and Windows' security doesn't even try to prevent that. I guess this is a related problem to the situation with Avira. So it would be nice if they would both knock it the hell off.

In order to manage the Homepage in IE 11 you just go to Settings wheel > Internet Options > make sure your preferred website address appears, and below it in 'start up' make sure that 'Home Page' is selected. Now click 'apply' and 'ok' all the way out.
To create/manage multiple home page tabs do as above, go to Settings wheel > Internet Options and do what it says at the top adding each page as a separate line.
To choose/select your preferred search engine you go to Settings wheel > Manage Addons > Search Providers and follow it there.
If AVIRA has options to change your search provider or Home Page you need to make changes there.
