    Ok I found it.

If I go to C Drive then Programs X86.

I do see the Folder for AVS Soft.
And if I go into it I can Find the .EXE File.

And yes it works but why is this Folder not going on my All Programs List and how can I Fix this?

Try right-clicking on the AVCFree icon in the folder and select 'Pin to the StartMenu'. It can be removed just as easily if that's not what you want.

Ok but why did the Program not do this after I Installed it?

I allways think if I do things like this by Hand it will mass up my System because it did not do it.

I just Right Clicked on the Folder and I have no Option for Pin To Start Menu.
And I have nothing like this at all.

Not the folder. Open the folder and find the program itself. It's the icon you click to run the program. The application. Right click and choose 'Pin to Start Menu'.

    Ok thanks.

I go to the C:/ Drive and yes I go to the Folder that has the Any Video Converter and I Right Click on it.

And yes I see Pin To Start Menu and if I Click it it does Pin it to my Start Menu.

But it still wont go on my All Programs Menu.

    Is this a Bug?

Ok I go to the AVC Folder and then I go into it.
I then see the Any Video Converter Folder and go in it.

Then I see the AVC.exe and Right Click it and Click Pin To Start Menu.

Now when I Click on the Start Tab the Short List of Programs opens.
    And yes it is here.

But if I Click All Programs it is not in this List.

    So what is going on?

You can add it to the list easy.
Go to the folder. Right click and select 'Copy'.
Go back to the Desktop and show 'All Programs'.
    Right click All Programs.
Select the bottom 'Open All Users'.
Once there open the 'Programs' folder.
    Right click and 'Paste'.

You can easily delete it also.

This is for Win7 Pro. Should work for you.

Why the install program didn't do this for you, I have no idea.

When I go to install it this is the First screen it says

    Enrich your Entertainment Experience
    Edit/Convert/Download/Burn

    So I Click Next.

The Next screen has 2. Sides each Side has 2. Programs and what they do these are Ad On Programs.

So on the Bottom Left is a Check Box that says
I have Read and Agree to the Terms for and it gives the names for the other 2. Programs.

I take the Check out of the Box and Click Next and it says Installing AVC.

But it never asks whare do you wnt to Install it.

I may have a Bugy AVC Program.
Can you give me a good Link?

Ok I got Any Video Converter from Cnet.

And I Installed it and on the Bottom Right of the First screen it says Customize.
I Click on it and Yes it does say C:\Program Files86

And it does put an Icon on the Start Menu.

If I Click the Start Botton it does show up as one of the Resant Programs.
But at the Bottom of this Lits if I Click All Programs it is not here.

And if I Search for the .exe File and Pin it to Start Menu.
    It Pins the .exe File.

What is going on is this a Setting?

I just downloaded it from here. Note there is a 'customize install' choice at the bottom of the screen. I did not use that option. It did not put anything in the 'All Programs' list, but it did put an icon on the desktop.

    https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/any_video_converter.html

Look at about the middle of the fourth row.

    Avc on desktop.jpg

You can also create a short-cut in the folder and then copy that to the 'All Users' area. And it will appear on top of the 'All Programs' list as a short-cut without the folder listed.

I haven't tried what happens if you select'Custom Install' , yet!

Ok I did go Click on the Start Botton and just the Resantly Installed Programs shows.
So I do Right Click on AVC but it does not say Copy.

So I can not make a ShortCut.

What Type of ShortCut are you thinking of?

  18. Imandy Mann

    Imandy Mann MajorGeekolicious

Go to the Anvsoft folder and right-click on AVCFree. Select 'create a short-cut'. It will make one right there, with an arrow on it. That's the short-cut you want. You can put it anywhere you wish.

    Thanks I did it.
    I go to C:\Program Files\86
    And open the AVC Folder.

And I did not Right Click on AVC.exe but I Right Click on AVCFree.

I Click Creat ShortCut and it goes on my DeskTop.

Then I Cut it from here and put it into the Start Menu Programs List.

You told me how to get to.

And it did it and it is in the List.

But when I Click it my Browser opens and it takes me to the Main WebSite to Download it.

Are you sure I Right Click on AVCFree File?

  20. Imandy Mann

    Imandy Mann MajorGeekolicious

One is an 'application' and the other is an 'internet short-cut'. You want the application.

Ok I got to the Program Files Folder 86
And Opened AVC and found the AVC.exe File.

I Right Click and made a ShortCut on the DeskTop.

Then Cut this to the Start Menu Folder you told me how to get to.

And yes it put it on my All Programs List on the Start Menu.

    But it says AVC.exe

So I went back into the Start Menu Folder and Dable Click it and gave it the name AVC.

    And it works.
When I Rename a ShortCut this does not effect the Program it goes to does it?

Everything is working ok now but 1. thing.

I go onto YouTube to lookup things on Tech. and things like this.
Because I have Bad Eyes I do like to make a Copy of Tech. Videos and keep them on my PC to go back and Watch again.

Any Video Converter lets you Copy the URL and then pick the Format you want to Convert it to.

So First I go to the YouTube Video and Copy the URL.

Then I Open Any Video Converter and Click on Get URL and I Past the URL into it.

    Then I Click Start Download.

Now after it Downloads it I can see a ThumbNail on the Any Video Converter screen.

So now I go to the Top Tab that says DVD NTSC and the Video Screen opens.

So I pick Video File DVD NTSC.

And on the Bottom Right it has CODEC mpeg2 and all the mpg2 specs.

So I Click on the Top Right Convert Now and it does.

But if I open the Video in the Program MediaInfo it say the CODEC is mpg4.

I do not think I am doing this Right can you help?

Thanks to everybody here I now got everything working working good.

But I do have one more thing just to ask about useing it to Download Tech. Videos?

I have Bad Eyes so I look up things on YouTube.
I look up Tech. Video on how to do this and that so I was going to Download some of them to my Computer just for me to go back and Watch again.

And you can do this with Any Video Converter.

I open my Any Video Converter and I Click the Tab Ad URL.

Then I Copy and Past the Online URL into the Box and Click Download.

Then it starts and it says Verification Complete.

Then I Screen open that says

Please Select a Video Format / quality to Download.

And above the List of Formats it says
    Avalible Formats.

    a1 - x3 DASH Audio Only
    a1 - x3 DASH Video 480 x 727

So I Pick the one that says
    a1 - x3 DASH Video 480 x 727.

But what Video Frame Size is 480 X 727?
    Standard is 720 X 480

Ok thanks for the help everything is working good now.

And I just let Any Video Converter Download Videos URL Right to my DeskTop as is.

So I Copy the Videos URL Video and Past it into my Any Video Converter.

And it will go to Download it and it asks me what Format to Pick From and I do.

But this Time it just it just went to the Videos URL and Started Downloaded it and did not ask me To Pick A Video Format.

Is this because it was only avalible in one Format?

Every thing works good not but one thing?

This one Videos URL into my Any Video Converter it just went to Download the Video and did not ask me to Pick a Video Format.

Does this mean it was only in One Format to Download?
