First, a big thanks to Dy for helping me figure some of this out! :)

Okay, I've run myself up the walls trying to figure this out.
When I backed up last time it created an image of my HD, I didn't want that, so I did some looking around the options and found a check box to have it not make a system image after it backed up so I could have backed up only certain files I needed. Now that I have my machine in working order ( Or at least until I look around at some Black Friday deals for an upgrade). I want to create a system image of my Drive so I can just load from that in the event I get infected again, or what have you.

I do not remember where that option is when I told it to not make an image. I don't have a picture with me (I can upload one when I get out of class if needed), but when I told it to create an image it gave me a folder called "WindowsImageBackup" Now is that correct with it giving me a file?

I was also told that I needed to create a System Repair Disc also and when I go to restore from my system image run that first then boot from the image stored on my external drive.

Pardon if this isn't completely comprehensive, I'm just really frustrated over this.

    Thank you,
    Spock96

Yes, when it creates the image you get that folder. You can drill down into the folder and see the files incorporated.

You have several options to run the restore. That is just one. You can also use the install disc like I did.
Look in the Back up and Restore section of the control panel and you have all the options listed for backing up and imaging either in the center or left pane. Just need to explore the whole screen for the different options.
