backdoor

    recently followed steps and finally ran combofix.exe
    and got rid of tough back door rootkit trojan THANK YOU SO MUCH

    similar problem on friend's laptop.
    Hidden files cannot be quarantined or deleted with Spydoctor or
    malwarebytes

    forgot text to use to launch combofix.exe that worked great on
    previous laptop

    I think it was a TimW post that had the text, but I can't find it.

    Can you help?

    Knightforknight - first post

    it saved my butt on a work laptop yesterday, want to run tonight while
    other computers are not powered up.

    I'm very impressed by this community of support.
    Great to see it is here when needed.

    something else worth pointing out/remembering, is that our fixes are tailor made for a specific machine..although your friend may have been having *similar* problems, it's unwise to use a fix that was given for another computer
