background music

I am involved in Rottweiler canine rescue, and place pictures and bios of my foster dogs on Pet Finder and other pet oriented websites.
Thought about setting up my own website, but my rescue is quite small, and am not sure the site would get the exposure I need.
Anyway, I'm debating putting music in the backgrounds of the bios and pictures. We do voice bios while we "film" the dogs.
Obviously putting music to the bios while shooting is not going to work.
So, my questions are
Is that a complicated procedure?
Is there special software to do that?
If so, what software?
Will I need special hardware?
If so what?
Is the process an expensive one?
Is the process difficult?
Anyone want to adopt a Rottweiler? (Sorry, had to get that in just in case:>)
