Background problems

ok I seen some similar questions about this but they are not the actual I need the answer for. My only question is this I cannot find the backgrounds tab on display properties. Meaning I cant do what I usually do when I wanna switch backgrounds on my comp which is right click on the background, go to properties, select backgrounds tab, and set it. Im running windows XP not sure if it's home or pro but I hate the blue background thats on there now. any suggestions that dont involve reinstalling cause Im thinking Imma have to. Thanks I appreciate it

 

Just an observation. On my XP pro it's the desktop tab.
