Howdy, I just backed up my whole c: drive (onto another partition) and re installed windows. After running the backup utility All of the folders that were under my XP user account are unaccessable. I t tells me access is denied. Can I fix this?

p.s. is there anyway to rename your drives in XP home?

    Thanks

    Slayer,
I'm just here for a sec today, so I'll leave Q#1 to others.

For Q#2: To change letters, right click My Comp, Manage, Disk Management. To change the Name you've assigned to the drive, double-click My Comp, right-clcik the drive you want to rename, click Properties, and the panel that pops up will already have the assigned name highlighted and blinking and ready to be changed.
