Backup software

    Looking to back up data onto a external hard drive or disk, which is best and what is the best software for it??

    Personally, I use Acronis TI version 8 and it's FREE. Here's the link: http://www.acronis.co.uk/mag/pcpro/ati8pe
    Search for Acronis on MG's site and you'll find a wealth of info on it. I was advised by MG not to do incremental backups though.

    Which Windows version you using?

    What type of info are you wishing to backup? will it be a full clone/image of your hard drives in which the software oma posted above is superb for or will it be just specific files and folders?

    If we get a handle on what area of backups you wish to do we can aim you into the right direction of if possible some freebie software to do this task.

    Freebie backup software could even include Windows Backup. It's what I use with Win XP.
