Have a question which probably seems kinda stupid, I have backed up my drives before but never had to use it. I just backed up a Sandisk 500G SSD , Win.10 to a flash drive. In the case that I had to reset the drive to factory, will this backup re-install all the programs that were installed to the disk, and what is thre procedure for duing so, just boot from the flash drive? The question is how was the backup (image) created? Did you just run the installed version of Aomei or whatever, or did you boot the computer to the Aomei or whatever rescue medium and do it from there? If the former, have you created the bootable rescue media, (CD or flash drive)? If not, do it now as that is what you have to boot to in order to restore a disk or system image. It is also vital to test your bootable media to be sure it can find the image file that is to be restored and the target drive to which it would be restored. To test you go through the image restore procedure right up to the Go and stop there. Restoring an image doesn't 'reset to factory', it restores to the exact position when the image was created, software, drivers, everything..
