Backup???

Hi all, I am looking for a good backup program or idea. I tried the Win. XP Pro Backup Utility and liked how it was working until it hit 4GB and stopped, apparently because it is limited to 4GB on FAT file system. More info on this would be appreciated Anyway, I went looking on some of my regular sites and found Karen's Replicator. It ran, but had all kinds of failures, so I dumped the file and decided to post in here to see if anyone has a better idea before I go D/Ling a bunch of crap and wait hours for them to run just to find out that something isn't right. I've heard of a way of saving an "image" and burning on a CD. More info on this would be appreciated also, such as if and how this works and how to do it. I save most of my data to CD as I D/L or create, what I am looking for is a way to restore Windows and my programs and settings in the event of HD failure. Thanx in advance for any and all info
