Trying to create a partition on my 100GB laptop hard drive. I am using Acronis disk director 10, after choosing partition size and committing, I receive an error about bad blocks and Acronis cannot continue. I've run CHKDSK /r 3 times (8 kb in bad sectors) each time, I have also run Spinrite 6 twice, and I still have bad sectors or bad blocks. What else can I do to repair these bad blocks?

My hard drive is fujitsu and I have ran their drive diagnostics program, and passed.

That's not good enough. You need to do:

    CHKDSK /F /R

It will take hours for each drive. If you can repair bad sectors with more than 1 tool, your drive may be dying or malfunctioning. Try a low level format. Takes hours. Go to fujitsu site for their tools. The last resort is to RMA it if it's under warranty or look for a new replacement.

Did that, still have 8kb in bad sectors. Is there a program that can perform this low level formatting?

Personally Partions can cause more problems than solve, if it is for a nother OS add at least another 15Gb or you may suffer issues.
