    Hi everyone,
I have a problem with windows XP pro. Everytime I turn on the computer or try to open any program (like internet explorer) I get this message:

xxxx - Bad image (where xxxx is the programs that i try to open, like iexplore.exe, sound devices etc.)
The application or DLL c:\windows\system32\hiseyuro.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

I try to find out what and where is the hiseyuro.dll, but I didn't find it on the computer and I didn't find any informations about this file on the internet.

What is wrong with the computer and what should I do to fix it?

    Thanks!!!

I recently had a similar problem on a PC I was working on. It was INFESTED with malware (the first scan removed over 3000 infected items). After the malware scan I rebooted, and got a very similar message but without the "hiseyuro.dll" file; I had something different (I can't remember exactly what it was), but everything else was the same. the only way to get the desktop to load completely with icons and the task bar was to CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring up the task manager, click File > New Task and type explorer.exe and press Enter. Once the desktop loaded, the PC ran more-or-less OK. However, the error message about the invalid image is still there and it mentions a different file every time I click OK, and I have yet to solve that problem. Anyway, what I'm getting at is this: I think that the file "hiseyuro.dll" is malware. Many of the 'modern' malware files are random strings of 8 letters followed by the .dll extension. This file is then referenced somewhere with the "rundll32.exe" command which runs the .dll file as an application. Chances are you recently removed some malware, or one of your system protection apps did it automatically, and now that "hiseyuro.dll" is gone, all sorts of system files are coming up with errors. So, there's "how" and "why" of the problem. I have yet to come up with the "how" and "what" for the fix..... I'll be watching this thread too....

(you should probably take a look at this article; it's the Major Geeks World Famous "READ ME FIRST" Guide to Malware Removal. Read it and follow the steps and see if it helps ;) )

Guessing Combofix Recovery Console option, but am no malware geek. (http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=152072) Sounds like you may have gotten rid of the bug, but the registry is still hosed. Myself, I would backup to external drive, then reformat, reinstall the OS. Then restore the backup of the troubled OS to a folder on an external drive and pull out what I required, save the backupfile, and delete the restored folder.
Could also try the System File Checker Utility.

OK.... here's what I've done.... I located the DLL file in the C:\windows\system32 folder. On this PC the file was skpasl.dll. I simply renamed it to skpasl.dll.aaa and the constant "Bad Image" error messages have disappeared... for now anyway. I'm going to reboot a few times, and surf and use the PC extensively to see if this remarkably simple fix works. I searched the registry and the DLL was only in one key and I removed it. So far so good! Will try ComboFix in the near future!
