Bad Wireless Connection

I've got a wirless B/G router and the wireless PCI card inside my computer. The computer withthe card is not that close to the router so the connection is extremely bad. I was wondering if a longer antenna on the router or PCI card would be helpful in increasing the range of the wireless signal from the router or is there a better soultion? Thanks in advance.

I've only had one person buy a longer antenna to increase the router signal and see didn't see much improvement so I can't say with certainty that it works or it doesn't work.

It seems to give a very good signal but it isn't sturdy enough to travel with because parts of it are plastic. If you keep the computer at the same location, you could attach the USB cable and move the dish around until you get a good signal then attach it to a desk or wall.

I didn't get it because I discovered that the USB adapter I'm using allows the computer to connect to the router with no problem even though the computer is one floor below and at the opposite end of the house as our router.

well i already have the PCI card so I don't want to spend more money on something else, its just a waste of money for me, thanks for the suggestion though
