    Hi all,

My brother is hoarding my lan + internet bandwith and i was wondering if there is a thing like a "bandwith pincher" for me to run so I can pinch his bandwith share to a more proper level. I tried to reason with him but i can tell when he leaves his room he's downloading with utorrent rapidshare and what not. Only time when internet is fast is when he is away (and i'll have to shutdown his computer off course!!) so he definitely is the culprit!
I've looked into my router but as far as i can tell it's not supported (i have a netgear WGR614v6)

Any idea's are MUCH appreciated! :D

    p.s.
I don't want to secretly install software on his local machine 'cause he will notice his decrease in bandwith after i'm through and he'll just kill the process, unfortunatly he's not retarded...

So there's NO bandwidth allocation or QOS feature in your router?

That'd probably be the best way to load balance. Maybe another member can chime in with more input.

    Cheers and good luck...

    Who pays for the connection?
    Connected wired or wifi?
Should be application scheduling or IP scheduling somewhere in the configuration. (I believe chapter 4 of manual.)
