BartPE building

I've been trying to set up a 4GB FD to repair my net-book. I've used Win. set-up to USB & PE builder to format, build & compile to FAT.
When I first tried I got DOS telling me I was missing a dll (can't rem. the name).
The second attempt DOS said the HAL dll was missing/corrupt.
NOW, I get past the initial DOS screen, BartPE at the bottom with progress bar & then the Win start-up screen appears.
No sooner has it appeared is disappears leaving me with the blue screen telling me it's stopped before running because there might be a virus on my FD, check it.
I scanned it with AVG & it reports "0" threat's
I thought I'd cracked it... obviously not.

Can anyone give me some insight into this.

 

that blue screen isn't a virus, just telling you that there's something amiss, like a missing dll, or bad driver, which i would think is the problem you are having. I wish i could help more, but i thought i would just let you know that its probably not a virus, but windows is just telling you it could be, among other things.

Yeah I eventually figured that out, after waisting hour's running different AV tool's. rolleyes
