Basic PS/2 Mouse

Hello

I have a problem with a Basic PS/2 Mouse , when i load my computer up the mouse goes the oppisite way (if i moved the mouse to the left , on the screen the mouse pointer would go right)

To make the mouse go back to normal i have to unplug the mouse connecter and plug it back in again , once iv done this my Computer is fine untill i restart the pc.

The problem occurs every time i boot , iv tried differnt mouses and they do the same thing.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66GHz(CPU)
Asus P5B SE (Mother Board)
9800 GT 512 MB (GFX)
2.00 GB of Ram
Windows XP Home
SP3

Is their anything i can do to?

does the same thing occur for a USB mouse? if so- I suspect something odd set in your pointer options in the control panel. If not- you may want to reinstall your ps2 mouse driver.

Yes so was I, aparently it can damage the PS/2 port :confused

I bet it's something to do with that actually, unless the driver for the PS/2 & USB input is from some kind of mirror world LOL:foolish

I'v had two Computers and 3 Differnt Mice iv also tried a Usb Mouse to a P2/2 Connecter

Is their not a driver i can download? or something like that?

 

I would investigate your mouse settings in the control panel.

I looked at the mouse settings and messed around with them to get it to Work
