Basic question about Firefox

I'm running Firefox 3.0.11 and I like everything about it. However, there is one feature in Internet Explorer that I have not been able to find in FF. In IE, you can click File > Send and create a shortcut to that page on your desktop, or you can right click the web page and select "Create shortcut" and it does the same thing. This is a very handy feature that I can't seem to find in Firefox. So, does anyone out there in MG-Land know how I can do this in FF?

You might try dragging the icon in front of the url in the address bar to the desktop.

 

+1, this is how I have always done it.

 

Or, left click on a tab and hold the mouse button down and drag the tab to your desktop.

 

:highfive Thanks guys! Both work just fine, and are just what I needed. For some reason, my brain is a bit slow when it comes to realizing that I can dragondrop stuff from my browser to my desktop. LOL

Thanks for the suggestion, but I wanted to accomplish the task without needing an add-on, and the 2 ideas above worked perfectly.

It's easier to grab hold of that tab than the icon isn't it?

 

Since the tabs are larger than the icon, they may be a little easier to grab.
