basic yahoo mail website

hello im havin trouble lookin for old version yahoo mail the new one they hav dont work well on my comp. the old one works better for dial-up any suggestions would be thank u.

not to sure what u mean but im using older comp im not much capable of updating everything older basic mail works better my dial -up. thank u the new one is to large to load

 

Evidently Yahoo started rolling this "New" version out June 10th and will continue through July.

Judging from this statement in an email support page from AT&T Yahoo, it won't be possible to return to older versions:

Well, it was possible for a time to switch between the old and the new. I haven't been switched to the new version yet. But if I don't like it or it causes me problems I'll simply not use it anymore.

Won't bother them, won't bother me.

As for "what's up with yahoo mail", money is probably at the bottom of it.

 

If you are talking about switching back to yahoo mail classic there is a way to do it i hate the newer yahoo mail it is to complicated and too um i should say annoying.

I still have the yahoo mail classic system works three times better then then newer version.There is away to switch from the newer yahoo to the classic,I do not remember the link for it.

 

thanks for input i dont see setting to switch to basic maybe not loading up rite i could change my video card to change the resolution and try new version later i gave someone my other video card so i could fix his comp. guess im out of luck for awhile.lol

 

tried new yahoo mail no scroll bars showing up cant get acess to switch back to basic..im using mozilla i wonder if i try inyernet explorer mite work. ill let u know

 

For Yahoo Mail Classic (old) try the following address.

If it doesn't work properly you might have to change us at the beginning to your local country abbreviation.
Your country abbreviation should appear in the address for the new Yahoo Mail as well.

good grief iwas able to switch to basic email with 1229 website one time now automatically takes me to mg5 new version website. by madmal. what do u mean where that country abbrev. setting i dont see it..thanks guys r there any other alternatives than deal with yahoo mail.

 

Yeah, mine switched to the new version today as well and changing the country abbreviation doesn't help.

Over the months there have been many tricks and url addresses to get back to Yahoo Mail Classic but eventually Yahoo shuts them down somehow, I have used many url addresses that work for a while but now return 404 Not Found or just take me to the new version.

I find the new version hard to read so I will keep looking for a solution to return to Yahoo Mail Classic but I have the feeling that Yahoo is going to do all it can to make us use the new version.
Oh well

 

i hear ya, people should have a choice cause new version dont work on some comp like mine..maybe soon theyll give us options between old and new.
