I have several folders like the one shown, and I wish I would have organized them better on the fly, but is there a quick way to make a batch file that would create folders (named by month for example) and then put all the files into those folders?

I know I can make a batch files that has a line to create individual directories, and then move the like files, but at that point it seems quicker to do it in windows with my mouse.. Each year in the picture has the same thing going on, and I have a few other folders on the computer with the same issue..

If there is a way to do it, I'm sure I could figure out how to adjust it for the other locations, I just can't seem to be able to hit an answer with a Google search, so I thought one of you fine folks might have it for me.

Thanks in advance for any help. :cool

Cancel that. I used Open Office Calc to stretch out my sequences and it worked out well. I can't see a way to delete my thread, but someone can if they wish.
