I am trying to create a batch file that will find all files with a
certain extension, say "fdb", on all drives that exist. Eventually, I want one file containing information like:

    a:\File1.fdb
    a:\Research\England.fdb
    c:\Family\Father.fdb
    c:\Family\Mother.fdb
and so on system wide. Network drives would be nice to include, but not required. My batch files work for a single drive, but not when I try to do all of them.

I use IF in my batch file, checked all the letters from A to Z, but it seems it works up to Drive "Y". Drive "Z" (I have a drive "Z") is scanned, and two such files are found, but their filenames will not save as they do in the first 25 letters. I don't know if this list permits posting code or not, so this time I won't.

I guess I have two questions:
1> Is there a file lister / finder that will search for certain files system wide and save it to a txt file that anyone knows of?
2> Is there anything special about Drive "Z" that causes filenames found not to be saved?

    Thank you.
