Battery driver issue?

    This sucks folks, I recently formatted my notebook(Dell Inspiron 700m) and after installing xp pro, my battery is not recognized anymore. No battery drivers exist on Dell.com could I have missed a step when it asks me to install some things in the bluescreen beginning of windows setup, I thought I read that somewhere.

    Well, tried it and for some reason it says "cannot finish installation, version not supported"
    you know, I was reading somewhere about ACPI compliant battery, you think that has somethin to do with it? Do I need to format again and select a raid controller or sumthin?...lol I'm just desperate, throwin out my last reserves.
