I have a Lenovo G-700 laptop which is running Windows 8. I'm new to this OS and have made a change in the battery settings. I changed it to optimize the battery life, but it will now only charge to 60%. How do I get it to charge to 100% again. I have only had the laptop for 3 weeks. Thanks for any help.

I would revert to default settings until you get an answer, I feel the battery should be maintained to its proper level.

There should be some type of software installed on your computer which has network and display and power management you need to go in to power management and look for something on the lines of battery life extender if its on then battery goes to 60% you need to turn it off and the battery will charge to the full 100%
