Battery problems

    Hi

    Currently have an HP 510 laptop. Started experiencing battery problems a few months ago where the battery light goes out and the laptop will then only run on AC power. Ran HP diagnostics test which "identified" a faulty battery.

    Replaced the battery but the same problem occurs. Slightly different now in that the battery light comes on intermittantly but then goes again. I'm pretty sure the battery is OK and that it's something on the laptop which is causing a duff connection, but what?

    Would appreciate any thoughts or advice you could offer.
