battlefield 1942 cd key invalid

when i open battlefield and join a game online. it starts to load it and then it says invalide cd key and then closes the program. does anyone know why or how i can fix this?

This sounds like warez, because if you buy the game , then it should be the real key. This i know, because i own over 535 pc games, all bought. Only about 3 -6 games i got from the net.

So you can either do a search in google for goodies or return the game back to the store(if you telling the truth, which i doubt it).
