Battlefield 2 patch problem

i can run battlefield2 without any problem at almost full settings but if i install a patch for the game like 1.1 - 1.4 the game will not start it will crash on start. am i the only one that has this type of problem?

BTW i dont know if this matters but i copyed the game like all my games with cloneCD to my Game HDD and mount them to a Virtual Drive in Alcohol120 could that be causeing my problem? like i said i did that with all my games so i can jump from game to game with out looking for cd's. i got like 10 V-drives for my games. and for thos who think they are riped games they are not i have the full game i bought and paid for i just did it this way to make it easyer on me.like BF Vietnam or 1942 i dont have any problem like this its just happening on battlefield2
Ooh and i still have the same problem with the real cd in the cd-rom.

Mine doesn't work with a virtual drive, but does with all the patches when I used the CD.

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

 

its just weird lol it was the 64 singleplayer mod that was causeing it i forgot i even had it installed. i uninstalled the game and reinstalled via virtual drive and installed 1.3 and it played fine first time i got to play with car drop fun droping a hummer on a tank or shooting down a UAV lol
