Battlefield 2142 1024x768 max?!

I just installed and patched my new bf2142, and I cannot get the screen resolution to go beyond 1024x768, any thoughts?

I have the most recent drivers installed from nvidia, stats are listed below

 

Was it able to go beyond 1024 x 768 before you installed? Maybe thats the highest resolution your pc can go>?

 

yes, it was able to get to 1024x768 before the patch. my max res. is 1920 x 1080 I am using a 37" Flat Panel HD Monitor. I've run other games at this high of a resolution.

 

you can force it to a higher resolution:

add the +szx 1280 +szy 1024 commands to the BF2142's launch icon Properties>Target box so it looks something like this:

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142 Demo\BF2142.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

in BF2 u used to be able to just edit the Video.con file but i guess it doesnt work anymore :-/

 

I'll have to try that later, but will that make it look worse because the screen res. setting in the video settings of the game will be 1024x768? And, Do you happen to know why I can't change the settings any higher?

 

Well, its not like EA has screwed up a patch before, right?
