Battlefield 2142

I have recently bought Battlefield 2142 and had no trouble at all. Everything was running smoothly until one day I couldn't connect to my profile. Everything is fine up until I get to the "Connecting EA Master Server." and this is where it gets "stuck".

If I actually wait to try and connect I get a message (in about 5-10 min wait)
"Could Not Connect To EA Online."

I do not believe this is due to a server maintenance because all my friends are playing right now. Also my internet connection is fine. I opened all the necessary ports, shut down my anti-virus and allowed the game on my firewall.


Additional Info.

I have also installed a new sound card before the game stopped working (Could this be an issue ?)

I can get the game into Offline Mode but when I get there I get a message saying that an internet connection is active and if I wanted to connect using my online profile.

this is ea for u and i always had this problem down the road re install the game but try to reinstall the patch first.but when u reinstall the game,when the option comes up to delete stuff dont delete ur profile.

 

I had the same exact problem. I had allowed the game in my firewall, but for some reason it was still being blocked. In order for me to play, I had to shut down the firewall completely and it worked.

 

I kept getting that error with the demo. After a few tries and some frustration it usually worked, but sometimes I had to screw around with the firewall even though it's allowed.
