    QUOTE
Bazooka Adware and Spyware Scanner detects a multitude of spyware, adware, trojan, keylogger, foistware and trackware components; sources of irritation that antivirus software does not deal with. The scanning process will only take about two seconds and tell you how to uninstall the invasive threat using simple step-by-step instructions or put you in contact with the vendor for the most up-to-date and safe uninstall instructions.

Spyware and adware is often bundled with software such as Kazaa, Morpheus, Grokster, Imesh, Xolox, Gnutella and a myriad of other programs, and in many cases installed without your knowledge. Some send information about your surfing habits to ad companies, which target you with popup ads that fit your preferences.

Nick, What's your opinion of Bazooka? Do we need both AdAware and Bazooka? Does one find what the other misses, like CrapCleaner and Cleanup! do? Baz

    Hi Baz :)
Fortunately i don't get much spy ware on my computer so i am not personally able to say. However what i can say is that selective professionals use it and consider it to be good. It should be used alongside ad-aware and spy bot A2 ETC.

    Regards

Hi Nick, downloaded it, ran it, it picked up an old piece of spyware, deleted it when I followed the steps reccommended. Gone. Poof. No probs. Nice app. Thanks for telling me about it :)

billH, Nick and others. Just ran Bazooka for the first time. Only disadvantage to me so far, is that it must be run on-line to get instructions on how do deal with a problem it found. I usually run all my cleaners, etc., after I log off as part of my shutdown procedures. It found MS Media Player GUID that Cleanup!, CrapCleaner, EmpTemp, Spybot S&D, PestPatrol , Zone Alarm, Avast, a previous loading of AVG and AdAware all missed. Don't know how harmful MS Media Player GUID is, and if all the others simply ignored it as non-harmful.

The download link provides a reference list that is 149 days old and I am about to logon to Bazooka site to find out how to get rid of what it found and also get the new update.

    Bazza
