Be Gone Norton !!

I have managed to get my PC back to normal after Norton failed to stop a variation of a 2 yr old virus/worm. Norton 2005 came with my PC, and its already causing me problems. My other PC, that is connected via network cable is not able to connect to internet(can only be Norton Firewall as i had no problems with Kerio). I have tried to configure the Norton Firewall, the next option that springs to mind is completely removing Norton/Symantec.

Any suggestions on how to remove it OR any clues as to how to allow a home network with Norton on my main PC and Kerio on the secondary(connected to main via network cable).

I already have ALL the recommended security software on a disk(well i have about 4 copies of the disk as i am developing OCD tendencies regarding my PC's health). That Norton tool should do the trick, i'm sick of it and th free software is actually better in my opinion.
