I just wanted to let you guys know about the problems I've traced back to this update and I hope I'm not posting out of place. This so called optional update turns off bluetooth service, changes my Microsoft "Elite Keyboard for Bluetooth" to a plain HID Compliant keyboard, locks all access to it, changes my dongle from from it's Microsoft bluetooth enumerator and Microsoft wireless transceiver for bluetooth 2.0 to just a plain Jane bluetooth usb. Along with this action even after restarting service all bluetooth recognition is locked out (phone, mouse, gamepad) no recognition when placed in discovery. This happened using the Windows 7 OS and updater. So please take this to heart I've had to go through three complete re-installs to find it, Suspecting hardware failure due to old equipment, like the mouse that originally came with this keyboard.
