Bearshare Music Not downloading

This email will be rather sad considering the conversations on here. But..

Just downloaded bearshare onto a pc, with xp and although bearshare is there, when we select the music, all it does is que it up as pending but never downloads.

Can you help? Its something really simple as I had it on my own pc once but cant remember how to fix it as it was a while ago.
