I saw a book on Earlytorise.com supposedly written by an ex-cop who is giving it away if I give my name and click on ORDER. I am hesitant to do this. Anyone know about this or have any of you used it?

Another site offers a similar ebook guaranteeing the ticket being tossed out of court, written also by an ex-cop (Trey) and selling it for $20. Also hesitant to order this one.

    Thanks. Marie

With road deaths on the rise in most places near me (wonderful signs that say xxx where killed on this road in 200x). Set off earlier, take a different route, but for the love of all that is holy don't risk lives to save a few minutes.

Also, probably wouldn't trust it, the internet is probably the best place ever to sell nothing for something :)

Ciz -- thanks for the good advice ... wish everyone would adhere to it. My grandchildren all drive way too fast and think I'm an old fuddy-duddy for setting my cruise control to 65mph when I am on the highway and for the local speed limits when I am driivng in town.

Was searching for info on how speeding tickets are handled in order that I might be able to help an 18-year-old friend who has to come back down to VA from NYC in Dec for traffic court for driving on the interstate over the speed limit of 65.

You live in a lovely town and I miss the wonderful English people. Lived in Braintree (Essex) in late sixties. Miss clotted cream and "real" scones the most of all! :)

PS - I've been licensed for nearly 60 years and never had a ticket of any sort. Also, passed the British license test on first try!!! Later on, had an international license in our two years in Frankfurt.

    Thanks for your response.
    Be safe.

hehe, I'm just glad I did not come of too preachy :)

Ah, scones, a true delight... when not hard as a rock!

The very best I ever had (in 1969) were served at a lovely little tea shop in Sybil Heddingham. They were absolutely HUGE -- and light as a feather! I've never been able to duplicate them, and even if I could, they just wouldn't be the same without the pots of clotted cream. I just don't understand why we can't get that delightful cream here in the "new world!"

Hehehe... I was just going to say that I have a good lawyer and try not to get in trouble too often :)

As to the scones, I make home made scones now and then as a treat...... gods but I love those things, could eat a whole batch on my own :)

Actually it's the other guys I worry about.

But if you're in Texas, you know that already.

There was a book published in 1996 in the UK by a former Police driver, similar to this. It contains lots of sound procedural advice.

    The Driver's Survival Handbook

    Martin Thwaite

    Sorry I can't find a publisher
