Been told its not software on my end..

    Trying to figure out my problems..

    I am pinging around 300 in a CounterStrike 1.6 server that is only 26 miles away from here while the other day it was only like 30.

    I was in the malware removal section.. They said there is no malware on my computer, so it must be faulty software or bad hardware..

    My guess is that is has nothing to do with your computer. Have all of the counter-strike servers' ping gone up? Or is it just this one? If you have other servers you can get to with a low ping, it is most likely not your computer.

    Well it spikes like crazy now.. All servers..

    Would having Comcast Phone service installed last week have anything to do with my comp going slower?

    I imagine it is possible. I would start by calling Comcast tech support and see if they can help.

    If you have any other games, you might try to play some of them online to verify that it isn't just Counter-strike that is lagging.
