Beeping and Overheating

I play Final Fantasy XI on my pc, and it seems to be eating my computer alive. After installing and playing it for a while, my original power supply burnt up and died. So I bought a new one, this time a 350. It worked without a hitch until a few weeks ago (coincidently I haven't played in a few weeks) when my internal speaker went haywire and beeps like crazy whenever I run the program. While in normal use (doing anything but FFXI) there are no beeps, hot air from the fans, and no electrical burning smell. Once I start up FFXI, the beeping, hot air, and electrical burning smell commences. I know my video card, processor, and RAM are more than enough to handle the high demands of the game, but maybe my cooling system and power supply isn't? Is my power supply just not good enough? Or is that my processor frying? Along with the main fan on the 350, I have two smaller auxillary fans on the case. I'm running a GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X, Pentium 4 2.66 GHz, 512MB DDR, and the power supply is from Powermax. Help me! Make the burning and beeping stop!!! Thanks

 

First thing, what are your temperatures at idle, and as soon as your computer starts to heat up?

Im going to guess that the game pushes your components to the limits, and they get pretty hot....does the burning smell, beeps, and hot air start immediately? If so, id guess its the PSU overheating. If it takes some time, it could be either/or.
