    Hey,

I was playing around with my mum's computer in the BIOS, just underclocking to see the temperature difference, then running Prime95. The fan was going really fast, so I just shut it down for 30 minutes or so.

Now I started it up, and it just beeps, nothing shows up on the screen, what happened?

Clear the cmos by taking motherboard battery out for a few minutes, unplug power supply first. ed

Yeah that's what I did and it worked, haha. I thought I blew something for a second.

    Why did it do that?

No straight answer there will depend on the mobo, CPU etc etc. I will estimate it had to do with the timings (clock cyles) between the CPU, RAM and other components.
