Beeping instead of boot

I turned my tower on Monday night after being off for 3 days and it started beeping as soon as it powered up. The hard drive, optical drive, and fans all powered up normally but there was no video and the beeping was fast, continuous, and annoying. I pressed the reset switch several times, powered off and on, reset more, eventually the beeping stopped and it booted up normally. It worked fine for almost 2 days but when I tried to boot up tonight (Wednesday) the beeping was back and it won't stop. It sounds like it's coming from the video card. The system is 5 years old, could the video card be dead? What else should I check?

 

Given the circumstances I agree, but isn't the usual "Video Card Failure" Post a Long Beep followed by two Short Beeps?

The Continual beeping leads me to suspect it is something else.

I would all so try to give it a good cleaning blow the heck out of it with a Can of Air or a Air compressor works too and make sure your video card is pluged into Slot on the mob some times they do pop out.
