I did a search all over the net and all I got was beeping codes. That is not my case here...

I just recently installed Win xp again. I have no soundcard for various reasons. I have done this process with my pc many times. Anyways, this particular time, my pc decided it wants to beep everytime I enter a message on my AIM, everytime I recieve a message, everytime I say ok to some window and a few other times. It's not doing it out of the blue... only when I do those things.

Anyone got a clue on how to shut it off? And don't say go to regedit cause I don't have a beep option! Please help...

What you need to do is change default beep to NONE as shown

i already turned all sounds off. Since i have no soundcard i don't have much options in sounds and devices. The beep does not happen upon boot up. It only beeps when i do stuff like send a message or say ok to things.

Are you saying before you installed xp again you had a sound card ? this could be a driver issue . do you have on board sounds are they enabled in your bios ?
