Out of the blue I opened yahoo home page and the pictures were not there. I tried a few other sites some saying page can not be displayed. I reset my modem, restarted pc. still the same. I have done a series of things renew release IP. uninstalled IE8 (because it seems I have the most trouble opening yahoo) ATT modem diagnostics says all is fine and am connected to the internet. I did the maintenence I found here on your site. dump cache remove programs with malware. reinstalled java. Before all of this I ran a full norton and It did say I had some trojans but that they were removed. This is turning into a snowball effect, now to get online I have to turn off firewall and then I still can only read some sites in text only. somthing is up. Hope you guys can help. by the way I been working on this straight for 3 hours :)

If you had a virus, you should visit the malware forum and post there. You could still be infected.

I think I will tell what happened incase it happens to someone else. In the night I had a power outage and it caused Linksys router to have limited connectivity. It did not alert me of this. My first response should have been shutting down modem and router but I thought of the worse scenario first. So if someone opens up IE and they dont see pictures and certain web pages do not show up- try your modem and router :)
I am curious though, no rush on this answer but why wont my PC boot up in safe mode? AND Why does system restore never work. It always says your system can not be restored to that date your computer is unchanged.
