begin2search problem

Hi,

I have a pretty severe spyware/pop-up infection. I'm being redirected to a web page called begin2search when I try to visit certain web pages, and I'm being inundated with pop-ups, especially on system start. I also have highlighted links to several key words, even if these words appear within other words (credit, wav, tunes, adware, spyware, sex, trojan, and others...); these appear on every web page I visit.

I've run the suggested spyware scanners, sequentially and without reopening IE, both in safe mode and out of safe mode, and the infection is still very much alive and kicking. In posting this message, I've noticed that some of the problem seems to have cleared--of the words in the list about, only sex is still highlighted. The pop-ups, however, are still going strong.

In short, please help!

If you are saying you ran ALLl the steps in this Sticky thread < READ ME FIRST: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal > Then read the tutorial in this Sticky thread < Hijack This Tutorial And How To Post Your Log File >

and post a HijackThis log as a .txt file attachment. To do this save the log file as a .txt file rather than a .log file and select manage attachments in a new thread to upload it. All running programs should be closed, including your web browser, e-mail, items in the tray, anything you can close... Close before running Hijack This!

Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder or choose run from the download. Place it in its own folder, for example C:\Program Files\HJT
