Beginning w/ C++

    I'd like to learn some C/C++. what kind of text editor do i need? what kind of compiler do i need? i thought i'd be able to ask you guys, cuz i'm sure you could give me some great tips.

    Yucky
    Try Bloodshed Dev IDE
    Its a nice editor using MingW compiler. Served me well until i got a copy of VS 6 from the school

    Look into GCC its pretty much considered the best compiler. Im prety sure they make windows libraries.

    MingGW is that my friend :)
    Bloodsheds just a half decent free IDE for it

    for school we have a Sun Solaris box at campus, we telnet into it and we use the g++ compiler. lol.
