    Hi,

I have Belarc Advisor and Speccy auditing my system.

Belarc has a number of commercial applications available for further information. I was wondering if there is a better free program that gives more information.

Have you found a more comprehensive and free application? I know there are many applications, I am trying to form a shortlist of recommended utilities.

As a matter of interest, how are you using Belarc?

    Best wishes

One caveat about Belarc and Speccy — they both publish your Product Keys in the reports they generate. Should you need to post either of those reports, make sure to delete the Product Key lines to prevent an unscrupulous person from using them.

The product I use is System Information Viewer.

    Thank you for the tip.

Do you use SIV to simply audit your system, or are there other reasons for its use?

    Best wishes

I think it gives more information than the other System Reporters, it's stand-alone so no installation is needed and you could put it on a flash drive along with other utilities and it's updated on a regular basis.
