Belarc Advisor?

Hello, I dont know if this is the place to post this, but here goes. I had to Re-Install all my windows Critical updates and before this my Belarc advisor would come up showing all them installed. Now after I reinstalled them, belarc shows them as still needed to be re-installed even though I did reinstall all of them and they are on my add/remove list as so done. So I reinstalled Belarc thinking it would show all the updates as installed, but it is still showing them as needing to be installed. How can I get Belarc to show that they have been installed? So it looks like its not Belarc.

Did you recently use system restore or reinstall/repair windows?

 

Yes I had to use the Recovery Console to reinstall windows!

 

Then these hotfixes are not installed.

Do they show up on Windows Update?

 

I just downloaded them from the windows updates and the add/remove programs list confirms that they are installed?

 

Do you have SP2?

 

No, I dont have SP2, I really dont want it at this time. I just got this from HP support>> I see that the Belarc Advisor reports that the
system is not updated.
Sometimes the Belarc Advisor is unable to detect
the updates installed
in the system. This issue is due to the Belarc
Advisor software and not
with the system as mentioned in our previous
response. Uinstalling the
Belarc Advisor will resolve the issue.

If the issue persists, as we do not have any
tested data on the
functionality of Belarc Advisor on any Pavilion
computers and therefore,
I recommend you contact the Technical Support of
the Belarc Advisor
software for any update required for it to
function properly. They will
be able to assist you better regarding this
issue.
