    Hello all:

    Having issues with above specified equip. Any help you can provide will be appreciated. Here's what's happening;

    I have used the Belkin WiFi card in another laptop and it works fine. But when I install it in a different laptop, the software loads, the system recognizes the card but it is configured with the WRONG IP ADDY.

    Therefore, when I try to get onto the internet (via WiFi router) I can't get on, and page displays saying something about DNS error. When I run "IP config" from the DOS prompt, I get zeros for IP addy and DNS entry. When I try IP config /renew, it searches for about three minutes, then comes back with "DNS server is unreachable". Interestingly, when I use a hard-wired PCMCIA card in the Panasonic, I get to the internet just fine. But with the wireless...nothing!

    Can anyone help me figure out what the heck is going on? The same card works fine in a different laptop, but in the Panasonic, I get the above. I can't figure it out! (UGH)

    All assistance will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Well how is your setup, do you have a WAP, WEP key? Do you have MAC address limiting on? Is Wireless Name Broadcast on?

    How is your router set up? More than likely it sounds as if ypou have a WEP key and its not set in the second machine
