    Hello again all,
I know people have prolly asked this before, but I can not see any recent posts on the subject. I am looking for a real good anti-virus program that will not cost me an arm or a leg, I know that Norton used to be the standard, I got McAfee when I got my new computer, and now it is telling me that I need to pay for a subscription, I am not sure if it is worth it. Looking for some input here.

    thanks
    George

well not a lot has changed recently--if you do a search in tehis forum for Antivirus you'll get quite a bit of info

that said, I highly recommend Avast! Free home edition. it seems to work as well as the best of them and has a great interface IMO.

i've heard a lot of people recommend NOD32 as one of the best pay antivirus, which i believe is available pretty cheap.

http://www.grisoft.com/doc/1 great FREE AV package!!! NExt to that FSecure is great too, you will have to pay for FSecure though.

    Good luck.
