Best Anti-Virus Program, Best Firewall

Hi Guys,

What do you recommend as the best anti-virus? Im getting sick of NAV, as it seems to consume alot of resources, im sure there's a better protector that uses less resources?

Also, what do you recommend as the best firewall/net security? Im using NIS2004, but again, it also seems to chew alot of unnessary resources..

Pricing of the software doesnt matter, I know free ones are ok, but buying one's have a little more...

I reccomend NOD32 for AV and
Sygate Personal (pro or free) Firewall

Standard advice is to only use 1 antivirus program and 1 firewall when on the net.

Nothing stopping you from running each anti virus program, as an extra check, when you are off the net. Run them separately and see if 1 is better than the other as far as ease of use and detecting nasties.

I use Zone Alarm and Avast and they suit my method of operation. Love the way Avast does update checks. Every time you go on the net, with no user intervention required. Bazza
