If you buy anything at Best Buy you must be VERY AWARE of their return policy, you do not want to return ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No other major chain has this policy!

Read from their own page: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....87&id=cat12098

Christmas is coming you or your loved ones could get screwed by them.

Link didn't work you posted. But I ended up having to find return under help topics. But for people to know is Best Buy doesn't let you return all items. Some items there not responsible. Also Best Buy charges the customer fees to take the item back also for specific items are other fees. Also when you return an item they send you a check in the mail some days later instead of giving you your money there. All this is pretty stupid. I never actually looked at Best Buy or stepped into a store for several years(reasons higher prices and nothing to special there that I cant live without). But yes very bad way of doing things(but smart)

With the demise of Circuit City stores, Best Buy has become the major electronics retailer is the US.

I actually preferred CC to BB and would still be shopping there if given the option.

Never had a problem with a CC purchase.

I have only bought one item from Best Buy. The laptop was sold at a good price. Have never attempted to return anything.

No, actually Best Buys return policy is pretty standard except for two of the three restocking fees, they're strange, but everything else is standard.

I dunno where they pulled those two from.

But yeah I work in and run the Returns Department and the IT Department of our local Retail Electronics store and everything else is standard on their policy.

Hmmm, don't have that problem with Fry's, though I know some items have a 15% restocking fee.

Where best buy shines is there easy warranty policy. I have used the warranty service for 2-3 year warranties and every time I returned it, there was no question and if they no longer sold the item I got the original purchase price towards another item in the store. I updated my ipod twice doing this. And my xbox.

But I do agree that BestBuy can be shady with their sales tactics. Just letting everyone know how to take advantage of BestBuy.
