Where to find the best deal for online file storage (took a look at googe/yahoo etc and not enough upload/download capacity... also looked at www.permissionresearch.com, but sounded a little 'invasive', and havent looked further) ?
Need to be able to upload/download file size around 20mb or greater.
Any ideas, or, should I post this to different forum ?

    Thanks for the info.
In the meantime I went ahead and purchased a service from GoDaddy.com at
    https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/email/vsdb_landing.asp?ci=9022
for online file storage with a tool included to open the file/s from the online storage location.
1gb of storage cost $10 per year, so it fit my needs pretty well and the cost seemed pretty reasonable.
Am also trying the 'lite' version of what you suggested, but it looks a little more complicated (more like way to send big files rather than a place to store big files), although 'free' is not a bad price :)

20mb files? An online email provider like gmail or hotmail should work just fine.

Most limit the size of upload to around a max 5mb file.
Am expecting to upload from min 10mb to 20mb files sizes.

    Hi

    Best deals are free :)

4Shared Free account offers 5GB storage and a max upload file size of 100MB

Skydrive ( Beta ) Free 1GB storage and 50MB max transfer size, also offers the options of Public and Private folders so you can link to them from website, blog etc

I use both with no issues.

What's the catch? Gotta be something, otherwise, why would anyone provide this for free?

    Not everything has a catch.

4Shared and its free account is live for thirty days, so within every thirty day period you have to login or loose what you stored, however good on them they email you before removing your account as a reminder to log back in, been using this service for near 2yrs.

Sykdrive is a new Microsoft venture and has no catch apart from wanting to dominate this market area, using this one as I was/am part of the beta feedback group on this.

Noticed the 30dy thing so glad to hear they email b4 removing... I also set up a reminder with my 'TimeLeft' to make sure I check in at least every couple weeks.
It seems like good place for a small business to set up pswd protected customer folders to exchange low level client information like building plans (in case of architect) etc.
The MSSykdrive did not seem as easy to set up at the outset so didnt pursue much further than visiting the website.
Also, these services often have a way of turning into pay only services after some time (eg 'eProject' for project management), so I wouldnt want to get too invested.
So, think Ill still use GoDaddy ($10/yr, and dont need to be concerned about monthly termination) for more secure info like bookkeeping etc.
