Best duplicate file finder?

I have two disk drives with many of the same user files on both drives. I would like to delete the extra files which would free up about 80% of one of the drives. What is the best and safest duplicate file finder? I really prefer a free one or nothing over $20 if possible.

I am not interested in deleting program files - - just user files.

My suggestion is Easy Duplicate Finder. It's free, and does a superb job of not only finding duplicate file NAMES, but duplicate files with identical CONTENT (i.e. if you renamed a file from picture.jpg to picture1.jpg, but they were copies of the same picture, they would be listed as duplicates), depending on the options you choose.

I use 'Duplicate Cleaner' which is also free and does a great job. Available on downloads.com I think.

 

Another vote for Glary Utilities. It's free and available right here at Major Geeks. I used a while back to scan my 4 external hard drives for duplicates and I ended up being able to completely clean one of the drives after removing the duplicates found on all 4 drives. In other words, it works great :-D

(just be careful.... Windows sometimes uses the same system file in several locations... installed software may do this also.... so, be sure the files are not required by the OS or any software before removing 'em)
